BULLSKIN TWP. ëƵ Dylan Keilbach and Aidan Hardy both posted scores under 40 in FrazierëƵs 206-224 victory against Geibel Catholic in TuesdayëƵs Section 8-AA victory at Pleasant Valley Golf Club.

Keilbach had the medalist round of 2-over 37 for the Commodores (3-4, 3-5), while Aidan Hardy finished with 39.

Keilbach scrambled around the front nine, noting he had some issues on the green.

ëƵI had a lot of bad breaks,ëƵ said Keilbach. ëƵThe greens were the hardest weëƵve played on all season. They were the fastest.ëƵ

Keilbach said he did get a break or two, notably on his final shot.

ëƵThe last green, my putt fell. I need breaks like that,ëƵ said Keilbach.

GeibelëƵs Seth Dolan shot 3-over 38. Mike Miller finished with 42, so Frazier held a four-stroke lead after the first group.

ëƵI was struggling a little. My wedges, IëƵm not hitting them as well as I like to,ëƵ said Dolan.

His play on the greens was a blessing, as well as frustrating.

ëƵI made a couple long putts. I made a long putt for birdie on No. 3,ëƵ said Dolan, adding, ëƵThen, I had a couple lip-outs.ëƵ

Frazier extended its lead with the next foursome. Travis Smith (43) and Eli Cernuska (42) combined for 85, compared to the GatorsëƵ Aidan Holt (43) and John Hess (51) for 94.

Tyler Monack closed out the scoring for the Commodores with 45. Brant AleksonëƵs 50 did not count.

Gary TarbukëƵs 50 rounded out the scoring for the Gators. Luke KalivodaëƵs 59 was not used.

The regular season is rapidly coming to an end. With both teams outside of team playoff contention, the focus on individual accomplishment comes to the forefront.

Keilbach and Dolan understand what they need to do to position themselves for individual success.

ëƵI make stupid mistakes here and there, some putting mistakes. IëƵm a total snowball-type of player,ëƵ said Keilbach. ëƵI donëƵt need to be as aggressive as I normally am. I need to calm down.ëƵ

Keilbach has the added pressure of being a senior.

ëƵIt feels like it went by quick,ëƵ said Keilbach.

Dolan broke his wrist early in last yearëƵs basketball season, but said itëƵs not an issue. He noted he just needs to play more to get his game where it needs to be.

ëƵI think about (his wrist) here and there,ëƵ said Dolan, ëƵIëƵm still trying to work on my ball-striking. I need to play more and get more consistent. I need to get better.ëƵ
