Crosby scores 2,000th point in Yough无毛视频檚 61-47 loss
Seamus Riordan scored a game-high 30 points to lead Shady Side Academy to a 61-47 victory over Yough Saturday in a WPIAL Class AAA consolation game.
Yough (19-7) next plays Ellwood City on Wednesday for the seventh place and the final berth into the PIAA playoffs.
Shady Side Academy (17-8) led 19-6, 27-21 and 41-34 at the quarter breaks.
Austin Matthews led the Cougars with 20 points. Terek Crosby finished with 18 points to reach the 2,000-point plateau.
Eli Teslovich added 19 points for Shady Side Academy.
Men’s basketball
California (Pa.) 83, Mercyhurst 60 – The Vulcans celebrated Senior Day with all five starters reaching double figures in a PSAC West Conference victory over the visiting Lakers.
California improves to 17-3 in the conference and 23-3 overall. Mercyhurst goes to 9-11 in the PSAC West and 13-15 overall.
KJ McClurg and Donald Whitehead, Jr., shared team-scoring honors with 17 points apiece. McClurg reached 1,000 career points in the victory.
Bryson Lucas (10), Jermaine Hall, Jr. (11), and Zyan Collins (10) also scored in double figures. Hall moved into 20th on the all-time scoring list with 1,269 points.
Women’s basketball
California (Pa.) 65, Mercyhurst 56 – Allycia Harris scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Vulcans a home PSAC West Conference victory.
California improves to 14-6 in the PSAC West Conference and 19-7 overall. Mercyhurst goes to 12-8 in the conference and 16-10 overall.
Nina Shaw added 13 points for the Vulcans.
