Arthur “Art” C. Wells Jr., 73, of Brownsville, passed away, in his home, Monday, January 20, 2025. Art was born December 18, 1951, in Brownsville, to the late Arthur C. and Dorothy J. Elliott Wells.
Art was a member of the Amend Gun Club and the Nixon Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. Art was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Surviving to cherish Art’s memory are his significant other, Donna Strickler of Uniontown; his daughter, Nicole (Joseph) Wells Berkich of Daisytown; his sons, Aaron (Georgeann) Wells of West Newton, and Curtis (Jade) Wells of Richeyville; his stepchildren, Patricia Walsh, Thomas Strickler Jr., and Rachel Strickler; his grandsons, Conner Kennedy and Liam Kennedy of Daisytown; his step- grandchildren, Sean, Matthew, Margaret Rose, Andrew and William; his brother, Ronald (Jody) Wells of Uniontown; sister, Pam (Rodney) Rhoads of Wake Forest, N.C.; brother, Joseph (Ruthann) Wells of Brownsville; sister, Lisa Wells Briscoe of Smock; and his aunts, Shirley, Mary and Lois.
In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Trent and Cindy Kurtz.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 6:30 p.m., the time the funeral service, Thursday, January 23, with Pastor Rodney Johnson officiating, in the NOVAK-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA 15417.
