Wilda E. Humbert

Wilda E. Humbert, 96, of Greensboro, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025.
She was born October 14, 1928, in Masontown, a daughter of the late George E. and Nancy E. Barnhart Murphy.
Mrs. Humbert was a member of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church and had participated in mission trips to Mexico.
She volunteered as an escort for the former Greene County Memorial Hospital and the American Red Cross blood drives.
Mrs. Humbert enjoyed traveling, camping and square dancing. She was an outstanding wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished baking and providing for her family.
On August 25, 1948, she married William E. Humbert, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, William E. Humbert, Jr. (Rosann) of Uniontown, David K. Humbert (Arleen) of East Millsboro, and Randy L. Humbert of Greensboro; four grandchildren, David Humbert, Jr. (Jennifer), Sheri Humbert, Connie Humbert, and Megan Humbert Marple (Apollo); three great- grandchildren, Grace, Cecelia and Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers: Dennis Murphy, who died in infancy, Ronald “Bud” Murphy and James G. Murphy; and two sisters, Yvonne Fordyce and Dawnice Miller.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 23, in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director / owner, and Aaron S. Walker, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 24. Pastor Harry Hawk will officiate. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Sugar Grove Baptist Church.
