Sondra Lea “Sandy” Jamison, 84, of Greensboro, Pa., passed on to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown. Born August 19, 1940 in Greensboro, she was a daughter of the late Eldred and Irene Burik Faux.

A 1958 graduate of Mapletown High School, she was a member of the former Faith Church of the Nazarene in Greensboro, and currently active with the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Mount Morris. Sandy had a God given talent for singing, and has blessed people all over the area with her beautiful soprano voice, singing for church choirs, weddings, funerals and special services. A beautiful woman and always beautifully dressed, she will surely be missed by the many people who loved her.

She is survived by her two loving children and their spouses, William R. and Debbie Jamison of Greensboro, and Lisa (Jamison) and Mark Thorne of Morgantown, W.Va.; beloved grandchildren, David Clites (Chris Sugden) and Brittany Clites Collins (Isaiah); three great-grandsons, Aidan, Parker and Axel Collins; and a niece, Cynthia Lechner and husband Greg.

Her husband of 56 years, William J. Jamison, passed away on Nov. 4, 2020. Also deceased is a daughter, Christina, and a brother, Eldred, Jr., both in infancy, and her older brother, Robert Faux, in 2024.

Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, from Noon until the 1 p.m. hour of service, with Rev. Joe Adams officiating. Interment will be in the Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro.
