Edward G. Miske, 93, of Brownsville, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born October 10, 1931, in Brownsville, a son of the late Edward and Sophia Miske.
Edward was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a retired fitter of Hillman Barge.
He loved to garden and was an avid Steelers fan.
Besides his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Marcy and husband Richard Pahula; his son, Mark Miske; grandchildren, Nicholas Edward and wife Jill Sawka, Richard and wife Gabby Pahula, Joseph Pahula, and Meghan Miske and boyfriend Brandon Christopher; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Violet and Brandon; sister, Shirley Miske Hazuda; niece, Terri and husband Kerri Crutchman; cousins, Janet Churney and Barbara Kenney. He will be greatly missed by his furry companion, Tito “Chico”.
A special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the great care and attention given to Edward.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, and until a blessing service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, PA 15417, with the Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre presiding. Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park, with Full Military Honors accorded by The United States Army and the American Legion Posts 940-838-275 Honor Guard.
