Elizabeth Irene Roush Snyder, 91, of Newell, Pa. passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at AHN Jefferson Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 8, 1933 in Charleroi, a daughter of John and Elizbeth Roush.
Irene was a member of the Newell United Methodist Church and held various offices in the church and in the women’s society of the church.
She is survived by her three sons, John M Snyder and wife Susan of Newell, Steven W. Snyder of Newell, and James A Snyder of Phoenixville, Pa.; three grandchildren, grandson John Robert Snyder, granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Snyder, and grandson, Joshua Michael Snyder, all of Newell; three sisters, Barb (Jerry) Peters, Joann (Bruce) Smith, and Debbie (John) Pilarsick. Also survived by two faithful girls, Cali Ann and Sierra Sue; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, John A. Snyder; sister Mary Manown; and brother-in-law Frank Manown.
Family and friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., Fayette City, Pa.
