James E. Dague, 82, of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, with his loving family by his side, in Waynesburg Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 11, 1942, in Uniontown, a son of the late Edward Dague and Audrey Reed Dague.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Jamie Dague; and brother, Jon Frank Dague.

Jim was a 1960 graduate of Uniontown High School. He was a mechanic and was the owner/operator of RJD Truck and Maintenance Garage.

He enjoyed the farm and loved working on motors. Jim adopted donkeys from the Grand Canyon. He helped anytime there was a need and he was a wonderful big brother.

Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife, Donna Hackenson Dague; sons, James Dague and Greg Dague; daughter, Jayme Palla; brother, Glenn Dague (Dina); sister, Mary Beth Lowery (Jerome); and his grandchildren, Corey Dague, Miranda Dague and Carly Palla.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 15. Visitation will continue in the funeral home from 10 until 11 a.m., the time of a service celebrating Jim’s life, Monday, September 16, with Pastor Anthony Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery.
