Harry J. Swaney, 88, of Fairchance, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 4, 2024, in Mt. Macrina Manor. He was born August 30, 1935.

Harry was preceded in death by his father, Ewing Swaney; mother, Thelma Glover; his stepfather, Roy “T-Bone” Glover; sister, Vivian “Jean” Lowe; son, Dane Swaney; and daughter, Shree Gates.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Swaney; son, Gregg Swaney; daughters, Yvonne Nebraski and Dana Estabrook; stepchildren, Bob Stoneking and wife Lori, and Kelly Greco and husband Don; son-in-law, Larry Gates; numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Harry was a retired coal miner and worked many of his retired years at Reese’s Gunshop.

A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Hutchinson Park, Pavilion #4, South Union Township.
