Four people are charged with assaulting a man at a Belle Vernon residence and robbing him of $500 after the group was allegedly using drugs together Saturday night.

State police filed charges against Britney Lee Shrader, 32, of Rostraver Township, Brandon Chris Barcus Jr., 25, of Uniontown, Kathleen M. Urick, 48, of Belle Vernon, and Bradley Sean Barcus, 42, of Adah, and accused them of attacking Troy Wamsley while the group was at 211 Water St. in the borough.

Police said the group had been using cocaine and other narcotics when they wanted to travel to Clairton to purchase more drugs shortly before midnight.

Wamsley refused and told Shrader, who is his girlfriend, that he wanted to leave, prompting the group to begin punching him, police said. Wamsley told police he thinks he was even struck by a wooden board during the assault, causing extensive bleeding from his head and face, according to court documents.

After the group left, Wamsley realized his car keys and wallet containing $500 were missing, which he believes the group stole. He was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital for treatment.

The four are facing felony charges of aggravated assault and robbery, along with one misdemeanor count of simple assault. Charges were filed Monday at District Judge Richard Kasunic II’s office.
