Geibel Catholic holds commencement exercises
Geibel Catholic High School held its 61st commencement exercises on Wednesday, May 22, with 13 students in the graduating class.
Valedictorian was Victoria Brown of Uniontown, and salutatorian was Thomas Kolencik of Uniontown. Mia White, a 2008 graduate of Geibel, was the commencement speaker.
Brown achieved highest honors for each grading period during high school.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Penn State 4.0 Club and a Carson Scholar. She represented Geibel as a member of the cheerleading and basketball teams, and through her participation in the annual musical productions.
Brown was awarded the school无毛视频檚 Spanish, social studies and service hour recognition awards.
She will continue her education at Mercyhurst University where she plans to study anthropology/archaeology and public history. She will enter Mercyhurst with 35 college credits earned through the Geibel Catholic College in High School program.
She is the daughter of Helen and Charles Brown.
Kolencik, the son of Dana and Thomas Kolencik, also earned highest honors throughout his high school career.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, the Penn State 4.0 Club and a Carson Scholar. He served as student council president and helped to organize school events, and has represented Geibel as a member of the soccer and basketball teams. He plans to attend Carnegie Mellon University to study electrical and computer engineering. He will enter Carnegie Mellon with 45 college credits earned through the school无毛视频檚 College in High School program.
