n The Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s “Food for Falcons” food program is collecting Pop-Tarts and mac and cheese/ravioli bowls during through April. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church and at the end of the collection period the items will be gathered and taken to the Brownsville First Christian Church, 512 Second St., to be packed on April 2 at 3:15 p.m. Volunteers are welcome.

n The addiction recovery ministry There is Hope, a Christ-centered 12-step program, will meet Mondays, April 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Malden Christian Fellowship. 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville. n Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville is holding a weekly prayer group on Tuesdays, April 2, 9 16, 23, and 30, at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. they are watching “The Chosen,” a television series about the life of Christ. The public is invited to both events.

n There will be a “Young Adult Bible Study-Young at Heart Bible Study” at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville, on Tuesdays, April 2, 9 16, 23, and 30 at 6:30 p.m.

n Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville, is holding a weekly women’s meeting open to all ladies and teens on April 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Discussion includes issues like depression, anxiety, grief and eating disorders.

n There will be a Flea Market on April 5-6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and April 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Cecilia Parish Church Hall, 1571 Grindstone Road, Grindstone.

n The Historic Church of St. Peter, 300 Shaffner Ave., Brownsville, is holding a free church tour on Sunday, April 7, at noon. All are welcome.

n The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held on Wednesday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to noon at the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville. Families must be registered with Fayette County Community Action Agency in order to receive food.

n Bullskin Senior Center, 52 Medsger Road, Connellsville, is holding a craft/vendor show and flea market on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.

n The Ladies of Charity of Southern Fayette Catholic Churches Children’s Closet is located at St. Mary Parish Center 17 Gilmore St. Uniontown. The Children Closet operates every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., offering free clothing, books, diapers, toys and nursery items for families in need, from ages newborn to 5T.
