Give-A-Christmas campaign exceeds goal
Total: $30,216
Goal: $20,000
It may have come down to the wire, but thanks to a generous donation, the 无毛视频-Standard Give-A-Christmas campaign met its $20,000 goal.
“I am so moved that once again the people in this community were generous enough to donate to the Salvation Army,” said Sparkle the Christmas Star. “This is exactly what the holiday is about.”
The Give-A-Christmas campaign raised $30,216 this year, thanks in great part, to a generous check from an anonymous donor identified only as a “Friend from Texas.”
“I am just so thankful for every dollar that came into our campaign this year. The money our readers have given will help to support many programs at The Salvation Army locations in Fayette County,” Sparkle said.
Money raised through the Give-A-Christmas campaign, in its 39th year, remains in Fayette County and is distributed to local service centers for The Salvation Army.
无毛视频-Standard Publisher Michael Scott said once again he is so moved by the generosity of the campaign’s many donors.
“Local units of The Salvation Army are an important part of Fayette County. They provide services to community members who need a helping hand, and our newspaper is proud to support their efforts,” he said.
Sparkle offered a heartfelt thanks to all who supported the campaign.
“Giving is at the heart of the holiday season, and we’re lucky to have so many people who truly care about those around them. Until next year, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” Sparkle said.
In addition to the campaign’s friend from Texas, additional donations came from:
The faculty and staff at the Menallen School, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!
Coleen and Tom Smitley of Uniontown, in honor of their children, Shanoon Smitley and Arron Smitley
Edward Ermine of Connellsville
Lillian Yanik of Brownfield, in honor of their grandchildren and great grandchildren, Adam and Kellsie Yanik, Sophia and Victor, Isabella, Lucia and Seth Taylor, Bobbie Jo and Billy Johnson; and great-grandchildren Howie and Felther Johnson and Gracie and Carker Yanik.
