Area colleges start new school year
Local colleges have welcomed both new and returning students for the start of a new school year.
Waynesburg University held its matriculation ceremony Friday, as the university embarks on its 175th anniversary year.
The Class of 2028 represents 55 different majors and academic areas and is comprised of students from 20 different states.
Freshmen moved into their residence halls Thursday, while upperclassmen moved in Saturday and Sunday.
Welcome Weekend 24 took place this past weekend at PennWest California.
First-year and transfer students moved into residence halls Friday, and upperclassmen moved in on Saturday.
Classes began Monday at both schools.
