Four men arrested in Brownsville drug bust

2 min read

Four Fayette County men are facing charges for allegedly dealing drugs.

Charges were filed Monday against Dustin Michael Mickey, 23, of Brownsville, Khalif Rasheed Robinson, 23, of Brownsville, Justin Duritsky Jr., 20, of Grindstone, and Xuan Sayles Jr., 20, of Adah.

According to the criminal complaint, police were surveilling an apartment at 2 Steele St., Brownsville on Aug. 6 when Mickey and Duritsky arrived in a pickup truck. Police write in charging documents that Mickey sold drugs to customers who approached the passenger window, while Duritsky sat in the driver’s seat.

Police arrested the pair shortly after they left the area. According to the complaint, while some troopers were pursuing Mickey and Duritsky, others continued watching the apartment. Robinson and Sayles arrived, went inside and left in the span of a few minutes.

Court documents state that a doorbell camera captured them leaving, and that Robinson can be seen carrying a rifle and wearing a red backpack. He and Sayles were pulled over at the intersection of Spring and Market streets and taken into custody.

According to the complaint, police searched the apartment later that day and found crack cocaine, scales, and ammunition of varying calibers.

When police searched the vehicle that Robinson and Sayles were in, they found a .223 caliber rifle and a pistol, as well as a backpack similar to the one Robinson was seen wearing out of the apartment.

Police said the bag contained 935 stamp bags of suspected fentanyl, 22 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 28 grams of cocaine, cash and a fully loaded pistol.

All four individuals face felonies of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Robinson and Sayles face additional felonies of carrying a firearm without a license, as well as misdemeanors of tampering with evidence.

Mickey, Duritsky and Robinson were arraigned Monday afternoon before District Judge Ronald Haggerty, who sent them to the Fayette County jail without bond. Online court records were not immediately available for Sayles.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 26.
