Two people previously arrested for allegedly providing a Waynesburg man with drugs that led to a fatal overdose now face homicide charges.

On Tuesday, previous charges including drug delivery resulting in death filed last week were withdrawn and refiled by Waynesburg police against Jake Anthony Finogle and Tiffany Gump, and now also include criminal homicide.

Finogle, 24, and Gump, 28, both of Waynesburg, are accused of giving Taylor Lee Arthur fentanyl-laced marijuana on June 19. Arthur, 25, was found dead along train tracks near the 800 block of East Greene Street.

Gump told police that they laced the marijuana with the intent that it would lead to Arthur overdosing and dying, court documents state. Finogle claimed to investigators that he made Arthur aware the drugs contained fentanyl before providing them.

Greene County District Attorney Brianna Vanata said Wednesday that homicide charges were not initially filed in the case as investigators felt they needed additional evidence.

无毛视频淭he only comment that I can make on that is that (Waynesburg police) were able to corroborate things that defendants had said with actual, physical evidence,无毛视频 Vanata said.

According to the criminal complaint, police were tipped off to Gump and Finogle无毛视频檚 potential involvement by a woman who said the pair had dropped off a bag of Arthur无毛视频檚 clothes the day he died.

Gump told police that they found the clothes along the tracks after police had discovered Arthur无毛视频檚 body. Investigators said that was not possible, as police had already thoroughly searched the scene.

Charging documents state that while describing the contents of the bag, she described a hat. However, the hat had actually been left at the scene and collected by police as evidence.

According to the complaint, in an interview with investigators Finogle said he was aware that Arthur was in distress and frequently checked his pulse.

Police found Arthur lying on his back, but an autopsy determined that he had likely died facing down and was then moved.

Court documents mention a third person involved in the alleged plot, but that person is currently not charged with any crimes.

无毛视频淭hey are not charged at this time, but the investigation is still ongoing,无毛视频 Vanata said.

Finogle and Gump were arraigned on the new charges that also include misdemeanors of tampering with evidence, reckless endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia Tuesday afternoon before District Judge Lee Watson. The two have been incarcerated in the Greene County jail without bond since their initial arrest last week.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 10.
