Eighty Four man arrested at airport for gun possession
An Eighty Four man was arrested at the Pittsburgh International Airport Monday after a handgun was found in his carry-on bag.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced the arrest in a press release issued Tuesday. The TSA did not identify the man.
According to the release, the firearm was a .25-caliber handgun loaded with six bullets.
Bringing a gun to an airport carries a federal civil penalty of up to $15,000, depending on the circumstances.
This is the 41st firearm caught by the TSA at the airport this year. Last year security found 44 firearms.
