Police investigating Washington Township shooting
State police are investigating after an argument led to a man getting shot Saturday afternoon in Washington Township.
Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele said police were called at about 1:30 p.m. to 287 Naomi Road both for the shooting and an apparent overdose.
According to Aubele, a woman at the home overdosed and died. The shooting occurred during an argument between two men, neither of whom Aubele identified.
The man who was shot is in stable condition. Aubele said police interviewed the shooter, but no charges have been filed.
“There is no danger to the public. We’re still trying to sort it out,” Aubele said.
