Two separate shooting incidents in Uniontown Tuesday afternoon left one man dead and two others injured.

Uniontown police public information officer Tom Kolencik said they were first dispatched to the 30 block of Dunlap Street shortly after 2 p.m. Officers found Joshua Stevens suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Stevens, 33, of Uniontown, was transported to WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:27 p.m., according to Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker.

无毛视频淎t this point in our investigation, all we really have at this point is there was some type of physical altercation before the shooting,无毛视频 Kolencik said.

Kolencik asks that anyone with information contact the department. According to Kolencik, it is possible there were multiple witnesses to the shooting.

无毛视频淓verybody fled after the shooting. Somebody that happened to be there, we would like to talk to you even if you weren无毛视频檛 directly involved. Anything would help at this point,无毛视频 Kolencik said.

Kolencik said he personally knows Stevens无毛视频 family, describing them as being involved in the community.

无毛视频淥ur thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and our goal is to bring some justice for him and his family,无毛视频 Kolencik said.

Fayette County District Attorney Michael Aubele said they identified a vehicle and suspect that may have been involved. According to Aubele, some witnesses have described Stevens as the aggressor.

无毛视频淚t is too early to tell, but the suspect did not stay on scene, and obviously has not turned himself in. The best thing for the suspect to do is to turn himself into police and give us his side of the story,无毛视频 Aubele said.

At about 3:30 p.m. police heard multiple gunshots ring out near the scene of the fatal shooting.

无毛视频淚t was in close proximity to where we were conducting our investigation,无毛视频 Kolencik said.

According to state police, the shooting occurred at the intersection of Liberty and Varndell streets. Troopers were flagged down near the intersection of Carlisle Street and Searight Avenue where there was a vehicle with two men who had been injured in the shooting.

无毛视频淭hey ended up driving towards the first scene,无毛视频 Aubele said.

Police said the vehicle had been struck by multiple bullets. The men were transported to Uniontown Hospital, and are currently in stable condition. Officials have not identified the shooting victims.

Aubele acknowledged that two shootings occurring in broad daylight, close both in time and proximity, is alarming to Uniontown residents.

无毛视频淚 am sure the community is very disappointed and concerned. I am too. I was out there when it happened. We are very aware of the issues in the city. Although I don无毛视频檛 believe there is an increase in violence, there is a history and propensity for violence. Especially for that part of town,无毛视频 Aubele said.

Uniontown police continue to investigate the shooting of Stevens while state police are taking the lead on investigating the second shooting. It was not immediately clear if the incidents are related.

State police ask that anyone with information contact the Uniontown barracks at 724-439-7111. Charges had not been filed in connection to either incident prior to Wednesday无毛视频檚 deadline.

无毛视频淚t will not be ignored. It will be addressed,无毛视频 Aubele said. 无毛视频淲ith thorough investigation and consequences for those responsible.无毛视频
