The state attorney general’s office charged three people Friday for their alleged involvement in selling drugs in Saltlick Township.

De’Marlow A. Salter, 23, of Petersburg, Va., David Critchfield, 32, of Saltlick, and Carlissa Critchfield, 52, of Saltlick, all face felony charges for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Carlissa and David Critchfield, who are mother and son, also face a charge of being an employee of a corrupt organization.

According to the criminal complaint, in June investigators had a confidential informant make multiple purchases of methamphetamine from David Critchfield, and Carlissa Critchfield on one occasion, at their home in the 3200 block of Springfield Pike.

Investigators served a search warrant at the home on Friday and found Salter in the living room. Salter would allegedly stay at the home and sell drugs, sometimes leaving drugs behind for David Critchfield to sell.

Police found about 66 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 12 grams of suspected cocaine, heroin and oxycodone pills.

Salter and the Critchfields were arraigned Friday afternoon before District Judge Ronald Haggerty. Haggerty set bond for David and Carlissa Critchfield at $20,000. Haggerty denied Salter bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Sept. 18.
